Name change

Due to things happening, or more precisiely, not happening, with the owner of the RR, I have made a clean break from the CMSL and am no longer affilated with it.

To this end I will, by my own choosing, change my on screen persona's name to Löwen Kind, pronounced lowen kin, and is German for Lion('s) Child. I might use the spelling Lowen Kind from time to time as not to spend time looking for the special character. This means that the shortened "LK" is still viable when referring to me.

So look for the change to occur. I am still "the railroading lion", but no longer affilated with any specific RR.

Also this does put the CMFM into doubt if it will occur this year. If it does, it won't be the same as previous years as the use of the RR is very shaky at best.

EDIT: When I get some spare cash, my LJ user name will also be changed to lowen_kind and I have already reserved that name for the occurance.

That sucks - sorry to hear that. I've often envied you working for a shortline while I'm stuck in an office. You got to play with trains while I just sit here and play with myself numbers.

If you are still interested in working for the railroad I think most of the big roads are hiring just now - though you'd probably have to move.

Bummer. I was worried that this sort of thing might happen to you with that railroad. I am sorry that I can't help much right now either, because I am up to my ears again.

Just try to take it one step at a time, and understand this was not your fault. You tried. You worked hard. And you should hold your head up high for that alone.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had to end a job you really loved. I got the feeling that you haven't been happy with the job (or at least the people involved with it) for quite some time now, so I am glad that at least you're getting out of a situation that's been causing you stress. Hopefully this will be an opportunity to move on to bigger and better things.

Löwen Kind. I like that. (You do pronounce the 'D,' by the way, just not as hard as Americans do...)
