Well, starting today I'm testing FireFox as my default browser at the recommendation of a friend.

yaochi has told me that it is more secure and more flexible than IE6.

I will have to agree that some of the "Options" in the "Tools" menu seem to be more user friendly and more flexible than IE6. I will give it a test run and see how it works.

Security is for one main thing: It doesn't have the rather insecure ActiveX code, nor does it have hidden back doors since it's not integrated with Windows.

The AdBlock plug in for Foxfix is a god send.

I've placed my Adblock filter file here:

DL the file and install them into AdBlock:

Tools -> AdBlock -> Preferences -> AdBlock Options -> Import Filters

The View page in Internet Explorer extension is definitely a package you must install.

Due to their stricter interpretation of html rules, many pages that work fine in IE, just don't work properly in Firefox/Mozilla, and by some strange coincidence, Microsoft html page creation tools (like FrontPage) produce code that only IE knows how to handle.

I've been using it for several months and I'm sold on it. There are add ons that are very handy as well. Once installed you get notices of update on both FireFox and the add ons. Multi Tab feature is real handy as well.
Netcraft has a tool bar that gives info on the site you're visiting and I've been using it recently as an added level of security.
