Testing, testing - redux
Jun. 29th, 2005 07:29 amWell, after 10 days of using FireFox as my browser, I've decided it will be my default browser.
I have a few nits to pick, like not being able to see, most of the time, the "Alternate text" of images when you do a "mouse over". Is there a quick fix for that?
The only "plug-in" I've downloaded is for Flash animation, but if I see I need others I'll download them.
Funny story is that when I went into the radio shop, after using it for a day, I told my boss there how good FireFox was. I know he was tired of pop-ups, and I told him that with FF they would stop appearing.
He was skeptical that something that good would be free, but he gave me the ok to download it for the shop's computer. Note that there are 2 computer's there. One is located at the receptionist/bookkeeper/VP's (his daughter) desk, and one in the back, in the shop, where I installed FireFox.
After I downloaded and set it up, he sat down and started browsing. The first site he went to was one that had a lot of pop-ups. He was amazed at the speed of FireFox and that there were no pop-ups from that site. ;=3
Needless to say, FireFox is now the default browser on the shop's computer.
So FireFox has won two people over. :=3

Date: 2005-06-29 01:14 pm (UTC)I use FireFox for virtually everything - and often in "safe mode" with all the extra stuff shut off.
But then I use the MSN Tv for the sites I really worry about. Not much you can do to a device that has no hard drive.

Displaying alt text in a tooltip is nonstandard behavior. Alt text is only supposed to be used if the image can't be displayed.
